Meet Highlights

We were very excited to be starting the dual meet season at our Conference site this year.  Roland ran a great meet and all of the divers did a super job.  For Nick, Erin, Noah, and BJ,  this was their first taste of college diving and they came ready to go.  Michelle dove on one leg (due to a MCL sprain at the hands of Tommy) and had a really terrific meet on 3 meter.  Tommy had a great meet.  He placed second on 1-meter, but his score of 237.60 was good enough to finally break the 6 optional record that was held by Joe Keiffer.  He also had a tremendous meet on 3-meter winning the event with a personal best score.

All in all, this was just how we wanted to begin the season!

Meet Highlights

The Blue Hens put up quite a battle with some solid diving.  The Monarchs showed a lot if heart and mental toughness diving in unfamiliar conditions.  Michelle managed to take both boards and Erin had a great 1-meter event to finish second.  The boys were once again led by Tommy.  He finished 2nd on 3-meter and 1st on 1-meter.  Noah Scully showed some big improvements in finishing 2nd and 3rd behind Tommy and breaking 200 on both boards.  Nick and BJ both showed large improvements on both 1-meter and 3-meter.

Meet Highlights

Facing some talented competition, the Monarch divers felt their 6 hour bus ride to Philadelphia.  The Drexel divers swept the diving events.  But, Michelle Kenney had a great meet considering her serious knee sprain 4 weeks ago.  Dingus had some trouble with reverses, BJ had good reverses, Noah performed well on 3 meter, and Erin had some strong dives at the end of her list.  The divers will hopefully learn plenty from this particular contest.  We are looking forward to our first home meet this coming Friday and Saturday.
