of the excellence of our program
* Over the last 15 years, 86% of Old Dominion's student-athletes that have exhausted their eligibility have graduated, a percentage far above the national average.
* Old Dominion University athletic teams have captured 23 team national championships and four individual national titles since 1975, including a men's basketball crown in Division II in 1975, three titles in women's basketball, eight in field hockey, eleven in sailing, and individual championships in wrestling and women's tennis.
* Old Dominion has had 75 first team All-Americans and 24 first team Academic All-Americans since 1976.
* The 1997-1998 Men's Swimming & Diving team won the first ever CAA title.
* Since 1996, Two Old Dominion Divers have been named Rookie Diver of the Year (Kevin Harrison, 1997; Ashley Kirchner, 2000). Old Dominion Divers have also been named Diver of the Year three times (Kevin Harrison, 1999 & 2000; Ashley Kirchner, 2001)
