Our Coaches  
Currently, for the 2006-2007 year, Todd Kolean begins his first season as an assistant coach with the ODU swimming and diving squad. Prior to coming to ODU, Kolean coached at Hamilton College the last three seasons, ten years at New York University in Manhattan and four at the University of North Dakota. While at Hamilton, Kolean coached two National Champions to three championsips, and was named NCAA Division III Diving Coach of the Year in 2006. While at NYU he coached seven athletes to over 15 All-american honors and while at North Dakota sent five athletes to the NCAA National Championships where they garnered 14 All-American honors. Kolean spent two years as member of the Florida State University diving team before moving on to coaching at North Dakota. Kolean is a 1987 graduate of North Dakota with a degree in history and political science.
We are really going to miss them this year, and we hope they will be able to make it our for some meets!
Last year, Old Dominion was lucky to have two diving coaches. Chad Triolet returned for his 9th year as the Diving Coach at Old Dominion University.  Michelle Kenney began her first year as a collegiate coach while finishing her degree. 

Coach Triolet attended college at James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA where he received a bachelor of science in Kinesiology.  While in college, Chad dove for three years for JMU, he was twice a NCAA Regional qualifier.  He still holds a team record at Madison.

In addition to coaching the college team, Coach Triolet works as a physical education teacher in Chesapeake, VA.  He and his wife, Amy (NCAA Division II National Champion (1M & 3M) 1996), also coach an age-group diving team, Dive Tidewater, in the area.  Chad and Amy are also proud parents of a little girl, Isabella, born in December of 2001.

Michelle Kenney was a four year letter earning diver at Old Dominion.  She was a team captain in 2003-2004 and made finals at the CAA meet in her final season.  Michelle hails from Richmond, Virginia and is getting her degree in Physical Education.  After completing her degree, Michelle is planning to teach and continue coaching.
